Shop Your Stash #2 - Reppin '1999'

Hey All,

Another month another Shop Your Stash Yayy! If you are unsure to what "Shop Your Stash" is the is a link HERE to previous post, explaining how it works.

Searching through my many items in my wardrobe I came across a pair of Jeffrey Campbells and this ASOS statement necklace I had yet to style. A recent outing lead me to the AQ/AQ sample sale which was amazing I picked up a few bargains when there. I found this amazing Mens top that is oversized to perfection I can sneakily wear as a dress if a body con mini skirt is added underneath perfect for the sunny days. For extra drama I styled with My Crown jewel beanie, one way to make a statement Oversized + Print + Bling = Happy me :)

Another 8 Launch Party/ Uni Fashion Show

 Hey All,

Last Week Thursday was a very exciting day for me as I was chosen to showcase my garment in my Universities fashion show. Whoop! Whoop! One step closer to my Goal. The location for this event was at the Christ Church Spitalfield, which had this beautiful chandelier which I had to snap. I so need this in my bedroom. On this same day was the Another8 opening party offering 20% off I knew I had to make a quick stop off to grab a bargain on their amazing clothes.

Don't know who Another8 are, well they are "A fusion of statement street style and contemporary design, Another 8’s debut collection is urban but feminine including directional separates, premium leather, key accessories and playful unisex graphic t-shirts." The likes of Ellie Goulding and Cara Delevingne have been spotted in their collection.

I must say their new collection is on point I need it all, its so hard to pick a favourite. They are currently residing at Boxpark Shorditch and going in store makes the choice so much harder their clothes are a must see.

So onto the outfit...

Well it was only fitting to wear my previously purchased skirt from Another8. This blue quilted skirt is perfect as the zip is double ended so I could easily add a front split, great for multi changing styling. My love for British urban brands is unreal I love discovering the new fashion of tomorrow. Of course I had to double up by adding another British brand Karactor one of my favourite typo tees to complete the outfit. For accessories I opted to add my Beautiful Statement Beanie from Sweetz Boutique which I won from the amazing Vicky Ayles blog Beautiful Addictions. Keeping the jewellery neutral but still statement as usual using gunmetal jewels.

The Sleek Edit

I couldn't believe my eyes when I noticed that an email from Sleek had popped up in my inbox. As a very lovely gift, they sent me a wonderful and extremely generous little package of goodies which you can imagine I was so excited about. If you can't imagine that, then you may not know just how much of a Sleek fan I actually am. Their make-up is absolutely gorgeous and I am incredibly particular about which brands I attach my name to as a valued, honest opinion is hard to come by these days. For a brief disclaimer I just wanted to let you guys know that although I was sent these - I truly do love them and would never accept anything that mean't I had to recommend a product I didn't like or would think isn't worth your money.

Anyway, 'ON WITH THE REVIEW' I hear you cry..

I mentioned Sleek were incredibly kind and gave me a fair amount of products so I am now entitling my reviews as 'The Sleek Edit' so it's in nice digestible chunks for you lovely lot :).

Todays edit? The nail varnishes.

I received three lovely little numbers and they are in the shades 'Fire Brick' a lovely vibrant coral colour with a distinct punch of Orange, 'Purplesque' a stunning, rich wine colour with a plum undertone and finally 'Sugar Coat Me' a pretty,  pastel baby pink colour. I instantly thought Sleek had read my mind when I saw these because looking at them, there is a shade wearable for all the seasons and that won me over of course. Pastels say summer, brights say spring & rich tones say Autumn/ Winter - PERFECT.

The packaging is lovely, its very compact, sleek (excuse the pun) and minimal which I overall, really like. The look of the product as a whole is just very pleasing and cute so we're off to a good start. The brush is rather fine and precise when applied with a light hand or can be fanned out and made the most out of with a little pressure so thumbs up for being an all rounder. I have to say my initial impressions of the consistency was a bit concerning as it looked rather runny and thin which in other words means poor colour pay off however, I have to say I was so wrong. I tried these out on some friend's nails as mine were freshly done earlier that day (typical) and was very pleasantly surprised. Naturally, 'Sugar Coat Me' was the most sheer due to it being such a light shade but oh my gosh is it beautiful and the other colours are a dream to apply and wear. Like always, I had to put these through their paces and test how long they lasted which I have to say was very good. I was checking up on them constantly and after about 3 days I noticed minor chips and budges but overall, I was extremely happy as they looked near enough as good as new.

As a final general point I think these would be amazing for travelling due to their size and due to the lid not budging under any circumstances - these bad boys can take a beating in your bag believe me! The formula is amazing, fast drying, all with a lovely finish and amazing pigment to top it all off. The polishes retail at a very purse friendly £2.99 and for 7ml of product which isn't too shabby in terms of value for money so it's all smiles over here with these!

Have you tried any Sleek products? What are your favourites?
